I am not well after back from China and Hongkong so don't have an opportunity to view my blog. No! of course I am not infected by those scare disease. China and Hongkong is cleaner than I can imagine. Although the temperature in that country is 30 degree where is in Brunei is only 26, still I feel Brunei is much more warmer.

I was attacked by sickness that should not be mentioned ('kalau d sebut ia takut datang lagi') until last night when hubby bring me to A&E Clinic for treatment. Today, I feel better then 2 days earlier.

Adik Top Ten in Maths Olympiad

Last Wednesday, 20th. May 2009 was an award presentation for Olympiad Competition for Science and Mathematics. Hazmi is one of the recipient for the best top ten for Secondary School Mathematics Olympiad. Prize Presentation was held at the Manggis Mall.

The prize presentation was for 6 Categories. There are Primary School Science Olympiad, Primary School Mathematices Olympiad, Secondary School Science Olympiad, The National Mathematics Olympiad, The National Physics Olympiad and the new type of competition just started this year is Secondary School Mathematics Olympiad.

Hazmi's Category was the 4th. Group to receive medal and certificates. 10 top students in various school were selected for Secondary School Mathematics Olympiad. The 1st., 2nd. and 3rd. will received Gold medal & $200 cash, Silver medal & $150 cash and Bronze medal & $100 cash respectively. Apart from the above, all students will receive certificate and medal for those who were not top 3.
STEP who orginize the competition does not revel the top 3 students to received Gold, Silver and Bronze medal. All students were asked to line up in their categories. Receiving prizes according to the consolodation prizes, 3rd, 2nd. & 1st.

Hazmi was announced to be in the 3rd. place who received Bronze medal, certificate and $100 cash prizes.

1st and 2nd goes to Jerudong International School (JIS).

Apart from Hazmi, Chung Hwa also won for the 2nd and 3rd place on Primary School Mathematices Olympiad. The lady in blue 'baju kurung' is CHMS Principal.

Hope Hazmi will get another chance to represent CHMS in the same or any interesting Mathematical competition and won prizes.

From Hong Kong to China

Last weekend (15 to 17 May 09), I was joining my colleague to experience another exotic trip. We use Royal Brunei Airlines flight and arrived at Hong Kong around 2.30 pm. In HKG, it was reported 1 person affected by swine flu. Thus, we covered our mouth to protect ourself from the possible virus.

Burger King restaurant is available at the airport BUT non-halal. You cannot have it your way for non-halal food.
We walk for 5 minutes to a bus station and spend HKD 29.20 to buy a ticket to go to border of China (Shenzen the paradise of shopping)
We wait for Bus 43 and it does not take longer when the double Decker bus arrived.

It take us around 45 minutes before we reach the china border.

The tunnel seem longer and scary and remind me of Day Light movie

The bridge also remind me of Golden Gate in New York

We arrive at the railway station and we use train to go to Lo Wu that is also known as Shenzen. It cost us HKD20. We arrived at Lo Wu and get immigration clearance for leaving HK and entering China. WELCOME TO CHINA! My first time to HK and CHINA. We check in to the Railway Station Hotel at nearly 5 pm. After Dinner (food that we bring from Brunei), we shop around not only at Lo Wu but at other places that I still can't recall the name.

We go to Lo Wu shopping Center and Branded T-Shirt look great and cheap.

Around 8 am on the 16th. May, we buy ourselves train ticket @ RMB75 to travel to Goang Dong (The city of imitate)

We return back to Shenzen using the same train and reached hotel around 8 pm. We only bring Handbag but return with 6 luggage. The 8 hours in Goang Dong is not an easy task for me especially when we have to move from one place to another. There is a Halal Restaurant in that city where we take our lunch at 2 pm.

Upon reaching the hotel, we go DongMen to buy special item (?) for birthday girl who celebrate next month. Deng...deng..deng..

We went back to Hong Kong on Sunday morning around 11 am with a rented van. At the back of above photo is the only Halah Restaurant in the airport called Popey. 'Sama Jua Macam Burger King atau KFC'

Unforgettable experiences, undeniable happy ending shopping schedule, non resistant if invited to join the same travelling group and will ask for unlimited visa in the future.

Abang just come back from Jeddah last Monday, 11 May. For the last 8 days in Saudi, he had an opportunity to perform Umrah in Mekkah, go to Medinah & visit Our Prophet Tomb and walk to Jabal Rahmah @ Arafah.

Ajmal in JPMC

Ajmal is admitted in JPMC due to stomachache and continue vomiting. She had been sick since Wednesday. 'Nanggis-nanggis saja'. She has a high temp. on Wed. night and Thursday morning continue vomiting. Atiqah Father 'urut' her around 5 am and when we are back home, she vomit once and sleep well. I bring her to Sengkurong Clinic and she had her urine test. DR only gave her 'ubat muntah' and 'sakit parut' & told me that urine is not infaction. Thursday night, she sleep well but wake up few times and cry.

She wake up early Friday morning and start vomiting again. I was in office when my maid call that Ajmal is sick and cry a lot due to stomach pain. I was packing all my things when my direct line in office rang. When I pick up, I heard a child voice crying with a high voice calling mama...mama.. I was panic and tell the voice to wait for me at home & immediately hang up the phone. It does not cross my mind that 2 days ago, my friend received the same call and after the crying voice, a man talk in Mandarin telling her that her daughter been kidnap & he demand some money to be transferred to an account. If she is reluctant to do so, daughter will be raped and killed. Luckily, another colleague in the office contacted her husband of which finally managed to call her daughter who is studying in Australia that nothing happened actually to her daughter.

I bring Ajmal to JPMC and she is admitted for stomach pain & high fever. She was immediately checked that include; taking blood sample, urine check, ultrasound, x-ray and checked by surgical DR. Everything is ok except from her blood test they found an infaction that come from her throat to her stomach.

She is treated with antibiotic, glucose drip, fever medication and cure for her stomach. Hope she will be discharged today.

WAW - Poland - Holiday Inn

I was having a meeting 2 years ago in Warsaw. It was a famous city for an airlines Industry as the city refer to Warsaw Convention. Not that I knew the country did not use Euro for daily transaction although they are one of European country. I did not prepare for local currency. They are using polish currency.

Interline friends from Philippine and United Airlines from USA

Poland is a beautiful country. But I did not meet anyone wearing 'tudung' other then myself and my muslim Interline partner from Kuwait.

Modern city but expensive. I don't have an opportunity to explore the city and can't find Louis Vuitton shop nearer to the meeting area or hotel that I stay.

I found Hard Rock Cafe and bought T-shirt for kids.

This is a famous place in Poland where it is used to be a palace and it is surrounded by river. Now, it become museum and lots of statues outside and in the building.

She is a Pianist. A very famous one and come from Poland.

The city is good for touring and honneymooners. Bruneian does not require visa and lots of International Hotel in the city. I stayed at Holiday Inn and its not easy to get halal foods although shopping complex is very near. Not easy to change Brunei or Singapore Ringgit. Better bring Pound or Euro. I was transform become vegetarian for the whole week.

A small incident happen to Jazli today. His forhead get cut by a bamboo stick use to plug mangga, fall onto his head. luckly the cut is not very deep and we don't have to bring him to hospital (because he don't want to). If the cut is stitched, it will look much better compare to now ....

Dating in BKK - Landmark Bangkok

Last 26 - 27 Feb 09, I have a meeting in BKK and stay in Landmark Bangkok Hotel. Hotel is at 3/4 star ranking and good thing is that it is near to the eating halal place. (If you know how to find the halal place lah..)

At night, we have the opportunity to walk around before going back to Brunei. Hard Rock & Louis Vuitton shop are the target.

Not forgeting MBK is a famous shopping complex for Bruneian. But we go there just to use the toilet. Toilet is better then the hotel because there is proper water host and also clean.

He celebrate his birthday today, 13 April 2009. Kids bought him a small birthday cake. Much smaller then an aircraft that is made for him by his colleague. Kids are happy to do that and bring driver to Le Apple to buy cake for their father.

The girl ask me to wake her up at 5 am as she said she wanted to do something. Then, I totally forget about it. She call me at 9 am wanted to do some colouring. Funny thing is that, at 5.30 pm when her father pick her up, she told him that she wanted to do something secret at home and don't want to be disturbed. She did done colouring in an art paper and I am not sure what it is & gave it to her father when we celebrate his birthday.

Azri call me at 5.20 pm wanted to go to Hua Ho to buy present for his father and it is an aircraft modal. Alitalia Airline ....

This is not an aircraft modal, its a birthday cake from his friends. Very nice, creamy, sweet and sweet.

14 February is a memorable date. Each year we celebrate the day in different way from any other days.

Last year, on 14 February 2008 is the first time in years we do it abroad. Unlike any years, we do not go for dinner to celebrate. We go to exciting place and making 7 outstanding rounds of the new excited style; 7 times of unexhausted walk to the Wall of His love kneel in front of His protection.

It was the first time I arrived at the land of Mecca and celebrate 14 February there.

This year, 14 February 2009, we celebrate the day in KK at Novotel Hotel. We have our dinner in the hotel's restaurant.

It was our 16th. Anniversary. We have good dinner with interesting menu crafted on candle glass

National Day

Royal Brunei Airlines participate in the National day celebration and is joining march pass. Staff are require to come for practises not only at the RBRC but also at Stadium.

Management also require to joint the Marching. Some of them also come for practise.

Kota Kinabalu - Novotel Hotel

I have not visited KK for more then 10 years. Last Friday, 13 Feb 2009 we fly to KK and reached there around 5.30 pm. It was a short flight which only take less then 30 minutes. We checked in at Novotel Hotel. The Lobby small but interesting and welcoming.

Novotel is greater then its name. It is an exclusive, welcoming and suit to our need and requirement. The hotel is near to a very new shopping complex 1Borneo. All branded shops seem to be there except for LV and Bata.

We are given a 5 stars room with transparent master bath, Shower & toilet room as well as another visitor toilet.

With King Size bed and another TV ....

Not bad hah! for a new hotel. Novotel was 15 minutes away from KK town.

We rent a small car for MYR120 per 24 hours and next day, we went to KK town for shopping. We visited KK market to buy Kueh Cincin and ikan masin. Go to Center Point looking for Bata Shop & to Watson looking for Inner Shine.

This is KK Market where we buy Kueh Cincin and Ikan Masin.

We ate at Shushi Restaurant at 1Utama.

Eat again at Kampong Air ordering kerang and prawn.

In One Utama, there are lots of shops. Almost all of branded goods are sold here except for Bata and LV ....

KK has a good place for dating too... There is a river along the road between One Utama and KK town.

On Sunday 15 February, we fly back to Brunei with good memory of KK and Novotal Hotel.

Hope to go to KK again in the near future.

Tangah Hjh Nuralam

She was born 85 years ago. I always remember her as a very close aunt to my family. When my dad still around, she visited us frequently. But then that was when she was still strong and healthy. Like my dad, She is also a heavy smoker. I used to tell her, "tangah, samsing kita ani eh... besigup lagi..." She is a humble, simple, straightforward and will always ignore my remarks without being hurt.

She was attacked by Cancer few years ago and was treated in Singapore. I trust that, her strong character, high spirit, good support from her children and Brunei Government enable her to continue her normal life.

She lost her 2 precious daughters and a son in law few months ago in a tragic accidents in Limbang. Today, 9 February 2009, she is joining them peacefully.

Mama had been staying in this house for nearly 20 years. 20th January mid night was the first time flooded in her house. She need to do her CAPD at 5 am morning 21st. January. And Alhamdullilah water is slowly moved out to enable her son to clean her room immediately that eventually left the other rooms in the house full of mud.

29th. January Big Banjir in Sungai Tampoi is the forth time with in less then 10 days, Kak Ros's house and compound attacked by heavy flow of water. 20th/21st. is the first, 25th Jan is the second and 26th. Jan is the third. In side her ground floor is as high as her hip.
